Picture Your City with the CAF Collective
On July 22, 2017 the Cambridge Arts Festival Collective worked together during the festival to complete the project we called Picture Your City. Since March, 2017 we have been working hard to take pictures around my hometown of Cambridge, Ontario. We took an image then created 3 detailed lino graphs with the image. During the Arts Festival, the community came together to make prints, one for themselves and one to go in the Picture Your City Book! The collective members painted the title page and bound the book together during the festival. It was amazing to see the final project come together during the day. Participants even created poems throughout the day on the giant magnetic poetry pages in the book. It was great to learn new artistic skills and work with three other fabousl artists, Wendy Campbell, Karen Malcolm, and Renee Therrien.
